In The Big Balloon, Iranian-Hispanic artist Roya Carreras reimagines a vanished childhood memory, surfacing a delicate world of fantasy and fragmented identity.
Featuring works by Fana Fraser, Jessica Pretty, Leslie Cuyjet, Maree ReMalia, Mersiha Mesihovic, and Veraalba Santa.
On Resistance looks to further classify movement into a broader spectrum by challenging systems of making and observing dance. Open call applications available mid-March.

FROM THE PRESS
"MOVEMENT CURRENCY boasted an impressive and tastefully disorienting program in a theater that provided the intimacy needed for these intricate pieces to truly be seen." - Cameron McKinney, Routine Magazine
"MOVEMENT CURRENCY's series resets the lineup for each show, with some repeats. So, your experience may be different but always an opportunity to discover, engage and be challenged." -Eva Yaa Asantewaa, InfiniteBody
SUPPORT WHAT WE DO
At the CURRENT SESSIONS, we look to assist in the early development of artists by providing resources - one-of-a-kind performance opportunities, mentorship, and documentation - to further their choreographic endeavors. Consider supporting our mission today to support our project, our programs, and the work of our dance makers and their collaborators.
